NAVIS Logistics respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with applicable laws, including the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, the Rwanda Personal Data Protection Law, the Tanzania Personal Data Protection Act, 2022, and other relevant regulations in the jurisdictions where we operate.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1.1 Direct Input: Account registration details (name, email, ID), Driver licences, vehicle details, cargo descriptions, and payment info.

1.2 Autonomous Capture: Foreground GPS coordinates after consent, device telemetry, trip-related handshake timestamps ("Verified" signal, "Start Trip" confirmation), speed, accuracy, heading, and current route status.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Services, including AI-driven matching of Cargo Movers with Transporters/Drivers, route optimisation, load optimisation, and real-time tracking.
  • To facilitate the transparent process flow: sending and receiving the “Verified” signal, “Start Trip” initiation, loading confirmation, and transition to “In-Transit” status.
  • To process payments, calculate and deduct commissions, and facilitate settlements between users.
  • To verify identities, vehicle roadworthiness, insurance, and licences for safety and regulatory compliance.
  • To enable communication between Cargo Movers, Transporters, and Drivers (e.g., notifications about trip status).
  • To generate ratings/reviews and manage user conduct.
  • To personalise your experience, provide customer support, and send service-related communications.
  • For analytics, fraud prevention, security, and legal compliance.

3. SHARING OF PERSONAL DATA

Necessary data is shared between Cargo Movers, Transporters, and Drivers to complete bookings and trips. Driver and vehicle details are shown only when the booking flow permits disclosure, and driver trip location is visible during active trip tracking. NAVIS internal staff may view signed-in user GPS health for operational support and safety monitoring.

4. DATA SECURITY

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption, access controls, and regular audits.
