Terms and Conditions

Effective 30 July 2026 • NAVIS Logistics, Uganda

By registering for or using NAVIS, you agree to these terms and the role-specific terms applicable to you.

1. Service

NAVIS provides cargo booking, transporter coordination, trip tracking, payment-status recording, delivery confirmation, settlement control, and support tools. Availability depends on approved users, vehicles, routes, connectivity, and service providers.

2. Accounts and approval

Users must provide accurate information, protect their credentials, verify their email, and complete any required NAVIS approval. NAVIS may restrict accounts that are unverified, suspended, blacklisted, fraudulent, unsafe, or non-compliant.

3. Bookings and pricing

A confirmed quote is based on the selected pickup-to-drop-off route distance, transporter rate, truck count, and every fee shown in the pricing breakdown. Truck-to-pickup distance is used for availability and pickup ETA unless a separately disclosed mobilization fee is accepted.

4. Payments and settlement

A payment is treated as funded only after valid provider confirmation. Transporter settlement and payout remain subject to delivery confirmation, reconciliation, approval, disputes, reversals, refunds, cancellations, holds, and compliance checks.

5. Trip responsibilities

Cargo owners must provide accurate cargo and contact details. Transporters must provide suitable approved vehicles and drivers. Drivers must follow the assigned route and milestone process. Arrival alone does not complete delivery; cargo-owner or receiver confirmation is required.

6. Safety and prohibited use

Users must not transport prohibited goods, falsify documents, manipulate location or payment records, impersonate another person, interfere with platform security, or use NAVIS for unlawful activity.

7. Cancellations and disputes

Cancellation, refund, and dispute outcomes depend on the booking stage, costs already incurred, provider charges, evidence, and NAVIS review. Active cases may freeze settlement and payout.

8. Liability

NAVIS operates a digital logistics marketplace, workflow, tracking and payment platform and is not the physical carrier, vehicle operator, cargo owner or cargo insurer. Transporters remain responsible for carriage, vehicle roadworthiness, their drivers and cargo while in their custody; cargo owners remain responsible for accurate cargo description, declared quantities, value and packaging. Accidents, cargo damage, cargo loss, short landing, quantity discrepancies and delivery disputes must be reported through the NAVIS incident/dispute workflow and may place settlement on hold while evidence is reviewed. NAVIS may facilitate the process but does not guarantee the acts or performance of independent transport parties. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Contact and governing law

These terms are governed by applicable Ugandan law and any mandatory law in the operating jurisdiction. Contact support@navislogistics.biz for service or legal questions.
